Twilight

Uhhhhh! It took me around a month to finish this book. I can usually finish a book in around 1-3 days, but Twilight bored me to death.  Starting off with the plot. 17-year-old, Bella just moved to Forks to live with her father. She absolutely hates Forks with its cold, rainy weather and is struggling with leaving her olf life back in Arizona. Soon after her arrival at Forks, Bella meets Edward Cullens, who we later learn is a vampire. If you've read my past blog posts, you'll know how much I detest summaries that give away too much. The summary tells us that Bella is in love with Edward, but that her smell would make it impossible to be around him because he craves her more than anyone else. Get ready for my ranting! First off, Bella annoyed me so much. The entire book she talks about how handsome Edward is and how she loves him and blah blah blah. I am pretty sure that if any sane person ran into a vampire, they would hide in their home, hammer wood panels on their windows ...

We Were Liars

Gosh! I have no words for this book. I began this book, knowing from all the reviews I read that I would love this mystery and I wasn't disappointed. For years, the Sinclair family has vacationed on a private. The Liars are a group of friends, made of Cadence (the main character), Johnny and Mirren (both her cousins), and Gat (the boy she is in love with). Everything is fun and games until one year when Cadence wakes up on the beach with amnesia, pounding headaches, and confusion. Cadence can't remember anything from Summer 15, only that after that her friends stopped talking to her and she grew distant from them. Boy, was this a ride. The ending left me shook and craving more mysteries. Characters: I LOVED the characters. The Liars were so much fun to read about and made me want to know what happened to them. The adults of the Sinclair family greatly annoyed me by how selfish and cold they were towards their children.  Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Rumble Fish

Overall, Rumble Fish was fantastically written and symbolized how violence won't solve anything and will have consequences. I normally don't read realistic fiction and am a dystopian/fantasy lover, but decided to try this book out. The main reason why I'm giving this book 3 stars is that after reading for a while, I got bored with the story. One thing, I really hate about some books is that their summary gives away spoilers and this was seen in this book.  Uhhh!  The book starts out with the main character, Rusty-James having a surprising run-in with his former best friend. They both discuss their current lives and how Rusty-James received scars. The story then goes back in time when Rusty- James was 14 years old and a tragic accident occurs. Rumble Fish is a perfe...
