Twilight
Uhhhhh! It took me around a month to finish this book. I can usually finish a book in around 1-3 days, but Twilight bored me to death. Starting off with the plot. 17-year-old, Bella just moved to Forks to live with her father. She absolutely hates Forks with its cold, rainy weather and is struggling with leaving her olf life back in Arizona. Soon after her arrival at Forks, Bella meets Edward Cullens, who we later learn is a vampire. If you've read my past blog posts, you'll know how much I detest summaries that give away too much. The summary tells us that Bella is in love with Edward, but that her smell would make it impossible to be around him because he craves her more than anyone else. Get ready for my ranting! First off, Bella annoyed me so much. The entire book she talks about how handsome Edward is and how she loves him and blah blah blah. I am pretty sure that if any sane person ran into a vampire, they would hide in their home, hammer wood panels on their windows and doors, and whimper in the corner for the rest of their lives. This isn't Bella. She straight-up tells Edward that she's not afraid of him even though he can easily crush her skull. The action doesn't begin until page 348. Personally, I would have made the story much shorter and kept the Edward talk to a minimum. Another thing I absolutely hated about Twilight (yes there's more), was the fact that Bella treats Jacob as if he's five years old when he's only 2 years younger than her.
