We Were Liars

 

Gosh! I have no words for this book. I began this book, knowing from all the reviews I read that I would love this mystery and I wasn't disappointed. For years, the Sinclair family has vacationed on a private. The Liars are a group of friends, made of Cadence (the main character), Johnny and Mirren (both her cousins), and Gat (the boy she is in love with). Everything is fun and games until one year when Cadence wakes up on the beach with amnesia, pounding headaches, and confusion. Cadence can't remember anything from Summer 15, only that after that her friends stopped talking to her and she grew distant from them. Boy, was this a ride. The ending left me shook and craving more mysteries.

Characters: I LOVED the characters. The Liars were so much fun to read about and made me want to know what happened to them. The adults of the Sinclair family greatly annoyed me by how selfish and cold they were towards their children.
